Julia and Brandon were married on October 7th, with a reception at the Ryland Inn in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey.
I actually booked this wedding as a freelancer for George Street Photo and Video. Just a few days before the event, I was able to briefly meet with Brandon. I thought it was so touching that he asked me to come in a bit earlier to ensure that his bride had enough coverage at the event. In just that short time, I was struck by his kindness. I knew I would enjoy being their wedding photographer.
In addition to my help, and a second shooter, Julia had a live painter at the wedding to capture the reception. I love seeing the ways that different couples make their weddings unique! I know Brandon and Julia will treasure all of the images from this wedding, in all the different mediums.
Ryland Inn Wedding Photography
The Ryland Inn, an exquisite venue in Whitehouse Station, provided a gorgeous backdrop for Julia and Brandon’s wedding. As an old equestrian estate, this wedding venue is steeped in old-time elegance. The ballroom, with its rustic stone fireplace and vaulted ceilings made for a beautiful atmosphere for this wedding reception.
Because Julia and Brandon feel their family is so important, they didn’t want to take too much time doing a couple’s session when it came to their photography. Instead, they chose to do pictures with everyone, so that their friends and family were able to be there for them in the moments. It was a sense of family togetherness that permeated the day, including during Julia’s dad’s speech. I also got a great picture of Julia’s niece making a face when a flower touched her face!
On top of the feeling of family togetherness, I loved the genuine romance between these two. One of my favorite moments was when Brandon gave Julia the “puzzle piece” ring and told her that she is his puzzle piece. It was such a sweet gesture! Again and again, throughout their wedding day, I was impressed with how nice and respectable this bride and groom were. It was such a pleasure to photograph their wedding.
Brandon & Julia, thank you for letting me be part of your celebrations. I wish you both nothing but the best!
